Malaysia assumed the Chairmanship of the ASEAN Moscow Committee (AMC) on 24 October 2016. Malaysia will be the AMC Chairman for the duration of six (6) months from October 2016 to April 2017. The Committee which serves as a platform to promote ASEAN-Russia relations and cooperation has been active in organising various events in promoting ASEAN interests in Russia as well as in enhancing further the ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Partnership.
Malaysia will continue to lead the committee in developing ASEAN-Russia relations and cooperation.
