Moscow, 20 April 2018 - Ambassador Datuk Mat Dris Haji Yaacob attended the Opening Ceremony of the Inaugural Meeting of the Network of ASEAN-Russian Think Tanks (NARTT) which was held at the Moscow State Institute of Foreign Relations (MGIMO University) in Moscow today. The meeting was attended by Think Tanks representatives from all ASEAN Member States and Russia as well as the ASEAN Secretariat from Jakarta. Malaysia was represented by YBhg. Dato’ Sadik Kethergany, Director General of the Malaysian Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations and Mr. Abdullah Ma’amor, Director of the ASEAN Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting discussed the terms of reference (TOR) of NARTT, ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Partnership in Regional Security Landscape and preparation for the upcoming 15th ASEAN-Russia Senior Officials Meeting which will be held from 17-18 May 2018 in Moscow.
