Tourism Malaysia Moscow organised the Malaysia Cultural Festival Moscow 2016 from 24 September to 1 October 2016 at the State Darwin Museum. The Opening ceremony of the festival was held on 24 September 2016 and was officiated by YBhg. Datuk Hj. Ab. Ghaffar bin A. Tambi, Deputy Secretary General (Culture) of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture Malaysia. The event among others, included performance of national dances, demonstration of traditional crafts such as 'batik canting', basketry and beadwork as well as display of national cuisine and showcase of cultural films. The event has been one of the platform for Malaysia to promote its rich and unique culture to the Russian society.
