Presentation of Credential by H.E. Dato' Zainol Abidin Omar to the President of the Russian Federation

H.E Dato’ Zainol Abidin Omar, Ambassador-designate of Malaysia to the Russian Federation has officially presented his Letter of Credence from SPB Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin addressed to President Dmitry Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation at St. Alexander’s Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace, Moscow on 8th February 2011. Dato’ Zainol had officially assumed his duty as the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Russian Federation on 12 October, 2010. Dato’ Zainol was among 10 Ambassadors who presented their Letters of Credence to President Medvedev. The other Ambassadors who presented their Credentials to the President were the Ambassadors from Ukraine, Kyrgyz Republic, Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland, Italy, South Africa, Gabon and Sierra Leone. In the speech read by the President after he had received all the 10 Letters of Credence from the incoming Ambassadors, he briefly touched on the state of bilateral relations with each of the respective countries involved. As for Malaysia, the President indicated that he was pleased with the good bilateral relations with Malaysia and hoped that bilateral relations could be further enhanced especially in the fields of high technology, energy, including nuclear power, telecommunications, aerospace and civil aviation. After the Presentation of Credential ceremony, Dato’ Zainol and nine other Ambassadors were invited to a special reception held by the President. On his return to the Embassy after the ceremony at the Kremlin, Dato’ Zainol was greeted by the officers and staff of the Embassy to congratulate him on the special occasion.
