The Malaysian Furniture Promotion Council led a strong presence of Malaysian companies showcasing their products at the MEBEL 2009 Expo, Russia's premier exhibition for furniture, fittings and upholstery which is currently being held at the Expocentr in Moscow from 23-27 November 2009.
The delegation, which was led by YB Datuk Siringan bin Gubat, Chairman of the MFPC, saw the participation of 4 Malaysian companies namely Everhome Furniture, G-Pacific Enterprise, Inart Furniture and MFEA to the 21st edition of the expo. This is also marks the first time MFPC is spearheading furniture promotion efforts after taking over the reigns from MATRADE.

Malaysia is an important player in the Russian furniture market and is currently ranked as the 9th largest exporter of furniture with total sales amounting to USD 150 million annually.
