The 2nd Moscow International Halal Exhibition organized by the Russian Mufties Council was held from 26 until 28 May 2011. The Exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia as well as the Government of Moscow. The official opening ceremony of the biggest International Halal exhibition in the Russian Federation was held on 26 May 2011 and officiated by Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gaynutdin, the Chairman of the Russian Muftis Council Religious Board of Muslims for the European part of Russia. H.E. Dato’ Zainol Abidin Omar, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Russian Federation and H.E. Dr. Hamid Awaludin, Ambassador of Indonesia were invited for the opening ceremony of the Exhibition.
This exhibition is aimed at promoting the halal industry, halal products, halal services as well as new Islamic business projects based on Islamic principles. Participants from Russia and foreign companies displayed a wide range of products and the latest achievement in halal production. Three Malaysian companies participated in the exhibition, namely Halagel Distributor Sdn. Bhd., Madura Industries Sdn. Bhd and Halal Media.
