JEDDAH: The Consulate General and the Sports and Welfare Club of the Consulate jointly organised a Raya Gathering on 12 September 2012 at the Chancery. The event was attended by all home based staff and local recruited staff and families including agencies based in Jeddah. The event began with a brief speech by the Consul General, Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak followed by giving away of duit raya to the children by Madam Aniza Khalid. All present then enjoyed the raya spread which was jointly prepared by the consulate ladies including nasi impit, ketupat daun palas, rendang ayam, kuah kacang, lodeh, mee rebus sup tulang, mee goreng and varieties of raya cookies.
