JEDDAH: Asian Consul General Club (ACGC) held its monthly meeting cum dinner for May on 2nd May 2012 which was hosted by Mr. Mohd Khalid Abbasi Abdul Razak, Consul General of Malaysia at his Official Residence. The meeting was chaired by Consul General of Brunei in his capacity as the Chairman and attended by 12 out of 13 members i.e. the Consul Generals of Malaysia, Bangladesh, Brunei, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Singapore, including their respective spouses. They deliberated on the main agendas of the month i.e. financial status of the club, boat trip and the forthcoming activities for the second quarter. Following that, the Consul General and Madam Aniza Khalid hosted a dinner serving authentic `1 Malaysia Cuisines’ comprise of `popiah special’ `mee daging’, `nasi tomato’, `rendang daging’, `kari ayam’, `acar rampai’, varieties of Malaysian sweets and deserts.
All the invitees were then entertain to a melodious karaoke singing by Arisa Sofea, the daughter of the Consul General and also by the guests. ACGC which comprises 13 member countries is an informal group that been created to promote closer understanding, cooperation and relations among members by way of organizing informal gatherings and various social and sports activities in Jeddah throughout the year.
