Malaysia was crowned Champion for men single for the first time in the history of ASEAN Riyadh Badminton Game after Mr. Alaudin, Counsellor/Deputy Head of Mission defeated his young rival from the Embassy of the Philippines. Mr. Alauddin who arrived Riyadh for only four months was far too strong for his compatriot after produced a stunning performance to claim Gold. Malaysian pair Mr. Fauzi Azmat and Mr. Khairuddin Jassin landed on second spot on victory stand after they could not continue their successful run in the title match against Indonesia. After racing of to a 2-0 lead at the beginning of the first game, they lost their concentration and the Indonesian pair became aggressive and managed to overtake the Malaysian team to win the match. The game was held at the King Faisal International School Riyadh on 22 November 2012. Congratulations to both men and double! MALAYSIA BOLEH
