On Monday, 26 March 2012, Mr. Rudy Estimo from the first Saudi English-language daily newspaper had an exclusive interview with His Excellency Prof. Datuk Syed Omar Al Saggaf, Ambassador of Malaysia to Saudi Arabia.
During the interview His Excellency praised His Majesty King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for His Majesty’s leadership to bring peace and stability to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
His Excellency noted that during 2011, the relations between both countries have continued to develop harmoniously, and diversified to cover all spheres of activities. His Excellency has mentioned that there are important events which will be held in Malaysia, namely:
i. The 9th International Halal Showcase (MIHAS 2012) Exhibition which will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 4-7 April 2012.
ii. The 1st World Islamic Tourism Mart 2012 (WITM 2012) which is a 3-Day event to be held from 31 May – 2 June 2012.
His Excellency has also mentioned that the Ministry of Higher Education of Malaysia in Association with Embassy of Malaysia in Riyadh will bring 8 well recognized universities and few private institutions from Malaysia to participate in the 3rd International Exhibition & Conference on Higher Education (IECHE Riyadh) to be held on 17 – 21 April 2012, in Riyadh.
