State Visit of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Strengthens Malaysia–Saudi Arabia Relations

On 4 November 2025, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, was accorded full state honours upon his arrival at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh as part of his four-day state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His Majesty was received by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The welcoming ceremony featured the playing of the national anthems of both Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, followed by an inspection of the guard of honour by His Majesty and the Crown Prince. Both leaders then proceeded to Al-Yamamah Palace, where senior officials from Malaysia and Saudi Arabia were formally introduced.

His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, shared his views on the importance of effective government policy implementation during his meeting with His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia. His Majesty noted that this was their first meeting and highlighted the Crown Prince’s deep understanding of the issues discussed and also commended Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative, which aims to advance the Kingdom through economic diversification, citizen empowerment, and the creation of a dynamic environment for investors.
