Alumni Networking Barbecue
It was a very strange kind of barbecue for the Embassy’s MTCP Alumni members this year.
Since congregating as a large group these days to enjoy an outside event is risky at best, the Embassy of Malaysia in Dakar had to innovate.
So it was that on an overcast mid-afternoon Friday, BBQ packages went out to the many MTCP alumni members in Dakar. It was the Embassy’s way of reaching out to its friends despite the pandemic.
The Embassy had its barbecue out on the lawn, then packed all the food into different containers for delivery to the alumni members. It required a bit of extra planning, extreme coordination and a bit of luck on our side to ensure that the execution of the first ever virtual BBQ event for the embassy went off without a hitch.
