FLOOD RELIEF MISSION TO THAILAND BY NSTP - MEDIA PRIMA BERHAD, 29 APRIL - 2 MAY 2012

Even though Thailand has recovered from its worst flood in five decades, assistance and aids from foreign countries continue to pour in in various forms. More recently, a group of 50 volunteers from Malaysia visited few places in Thailand including Singburi, Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani with a view to extending their voluntary work by undertaking basic repair works at schools, kindergardens and mosques as a reflection of their deep sympathy to the sufferings of the local peoples who had to brave the worst flood in Thai modern history.

The group of volunteers repainted some of the buildings and distributed food to the local people while at the same time extended their hands of friendships to the local peoples concerned. They were warmly welcomed by the local peoples whom they met along the way.

In honouring the group, Dato’ Nazirah Hussain hosted a dinner for the volunteers which event was presided over by Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Tahir, CEO of PROTON and Dato’ Ahmad Abd Talib, CEO of NSTP who came to show their support to the group.
