JOINT COURTESY CALL ON FOREIGN MINISTER KASIT PIROMYA

ASEAN Ambassadors jointly called on H.E. Kasit Piromya, Thailand’s new Foreign Minister on Friday at 0930 hours. The ASEAN Envoys were led by the Ambassador of the Philippines in his capacity as the Dean of the ASEAN diplomatic corp.

2.         The meeting with FM Kasit was very fruitful as the call was very interactive and the ASEAN Ambassadors benefited from the first hand briefing given by FM Kasit himself on the political outlook under the new government. FM Kasit made it crystal clear that ASEAN would remain the cornerstone of Thai’s foreign policy and would remain high in their priority while on other areas, the government would approach them in a more holistic way.
