GENERAL ADVICE FROM THE EMBASSY OF MALAYSIA IN BANGKOK

 

THE CURRENT SITUATION IN BANGKOK

 

A bomb exploded at the Ratchaprasong junction in Bangkok, reported to have come from a bomb planted in the shrine located at the tourist area late evening on 18 August 2015. So far authorities have confirmed that there are 20 fatal casualties and 125 injured victims.

In this connection, the Embassy of Malaysia in Bangkok wishes to advise Malaysians travelling to or already in Bangkok to be extremely cautious and are advised to be vigilant and monitor closely the developments by following the news from local and international media (print and electronic). Malaysians are also encouraged to inform the Embassy on details of their stay in Bangkok as below.
