Assalamua’laikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Mr. Chair,
Malaysia thanks the Permanent Observer Mission of OIC to the United Nations in New York for organizing this event to commemorate the 1500th Anniversary of the Birth of Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him].
- This occasion offers a timely opportunity to reflect on the Prophet’s teachings, rooted in peace, justice, mercy and compassion. His message continues to guide humanity, instilling values of knowledge, ethics, and unity to promote global harmony.
- As we commemorate this milestone, we must reflect on how the teachings of Prophet Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him] could help us to achieve peace and development for all – regardless of religion, race, culture, or language. In today’s world, where conflicts and humanitarian crises persist, the Prophet’s message remains ever-relevant. By truly embodying his teachings, we can find constructive and lasting solutions.
Mr. Chair,
- In closing, Malaysia reiterates the importance of resolving disputes through meaningful dialogues, and calls for mutual respect and understanding through the global promotion of the Prophet’s teaching. It is our shared responsibility to uphold peace and tolerance to prevent war and conflicts for the sake of future generations.
I thank you.
