Thank you Mr. Chair,
Malaysia aligns itself with the statements delivered by Iraq on behalf of the G77 and China, as well as Thailand on behalf of ASEAN.
2. The plight of countries in special situations, including the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), the Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), and the Small Island Developing States (SIDS), continues to demand urgent global attention, as they face persistent challenges in achieving sustainable development.
3. This situation underscores the urgency for greater international support and comprehensive reforms to enable these countries to overcome poverty and build resilience in the face of economic and environmental vulnerabilities.

4. Malaysia views South-South Cooperation as a catalyst for the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and resources among developing nations and stakeholders across various issues. In the quest to build back better, Malaysia stands ready to collaborate with other countries, drawing upon our national capabilities, including through the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP).
5. Malaysia’s Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) is a cornerstone of our support for countries in special situations, focusing on human capital development, technical assistance, and capacity building. Since 1980, over 38,000 participants from 144 countries have benefited from MTCP's training courses.
6. The breadth of these training courses encompasses critical areas such as healthcare, education, agriculture, sustainable development, poverty alleviation, investment promotion, information and communication technology, economics and public administration.
7. Further, Malaysia has also been actively facilitating Third Country Training Programmes (TCTP) under the triangular cooperation framework, working with both the Global South and North to implement projects that address the specific needs of LDCs and LLDCs. It is Malaysia's steadfast belief that intensifying North-South cooperation, guided by the principles of respect, equality, and mutual benefits, is crucial in addressing global inequality and inequity.

8. Malaysia firmly believes that the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and capacity building among South nations and all stakeholders can play a pivotal role in the advancement of developing countries.
9. Malaysia, therefore, remains resolute in its commitment to South-South Cooperation as a key strategy and looks forward to efficient systems in accelerating progress toward the 2030 Agenda, ensuring that no one is left behind.
