The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (MOFA) together with the ASEAN Women Community’s Circle in Hanoi (AWCH) co-organized the “ASEAN and Partner’s Family Day” at the new headquarters of MOFA on 18 August 2019 (Sunday).The event commenced as early as 6.30am with the ASEAN Friendship cycling event where ASEAN diplomats cycled for 14 km from the old MOFA HQ to the new MOFA HQ. Malaysian cycling team was represented by H.E. Dato’ Shariffah Norhana Syed Mustaffa and 7 other officials from the Embassy including the Minister Counsellor (MITI) and the Defense Attaché.
All ASEAN and Dialogue partner’s Embassies also showcased their countries’ cultural performances, food and games. Malawakil Hanoi arranged a traditional game of hop-scotch (teng-teng) and contributed curry puffs and banana cake. The Home-Based Staff with families also performed a Dikit Barat lead by SSjn. Mohd Faizullah Jamel, Staff Assistant of Defense.
