Organized by the Tourism Malaysia Guangzhou Office, the Colours of Malaysia, Malaysian Cultural and Tourism Festival Roadshow was held in Foshan from 28-30 May 2010 at the Jia Xinmao Square in Foshan. The Opening Ceremony was officiated by the Consul General of Malaysia in Guangzhou with VIP guests from Foshan Tourism Bureau, Malaysia Airlines Guangzhou Office, China Southern Airlines, Immigration Section of Consulate-General of Malaysia and 5 participating travel agencies.
The event began at 4:30 on May 28, 2010. During the opening, Foshan Television Station, Guangdong Radio, Foshan Radio and major print, media in Foshan also interviewed and shot video on Malaysian Cultural Show and cuisine. This event gave a live introduction about Malaysia's colourful culture and food wiht the aim to attract more people in Foshan to travel to Malaysia. Local travel agencies welcowed the promotion and hoped more activities of this kind could be held in Foshan in the future.
