LATEST PROCEDURE FOR VISA ISSUANCE
FOREIGNERS’ ENTRY TO MALAYSIA
RECOVERY MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER PHASE
10 JUNE UNTIL 31 AUGUST 2020
1. The Government of Malaysia has introduced Recovery Movement Control Order Phase from 10 June until 31 August 2020.
2. During this period, entry of foreigners to Malaysia are not allowed.
3. However, certain conditional entries for foreigners to Malaysia are allowed depending on approval from the Director General of the Department of Immigration of Malaysia. Those who requires new visa, you are advised to submit visa application at the VFS centres in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh after obtaining approval from the Director General of Immigration of Malaysia.
4. Please find below the summary of foreigners’ entry to Malaysia for kind information:

5. Below are the additional requirements that need to be adhred by all foreigners entering Malaysia after obtaining approval from the Department of Immigration of Malaysia:
- To undergo PCR test or COVID-19 swab test with a result of “negative” 3 days before entering Malaysia; and
- Download “MySejahtera” application on smartphone and complete all details required. Failure to download and complete the details will affect the entry process in Malaysia.
6. All foreigners are also required to provide information and complete processes as below at Immigration officers at the airport:
- Approval letter / e-mail (hardcopy) from the Department of Immigration of Malaysia;
- Undergo another COVID-19 test at entry gate;
- Undergo a 14-days self-quarantine at home in accordance with the guidelines from the Malaysian authorities;
- Other existing rules and regulations must be followed.
7. Those who does not comply to the guidelines above will not be allowed entry into Malaysia.
8. Beginning 15 June 2020, all stranded members of MM2H will have the following procedures to comply:
- Register with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (via MM2H centres);
- Obtain Entry Permission from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (via MM2H centres);
- Undergo COVID-19 Swab Test within 3 days and must be medically confirmed negative prior entering Malaysia;
- Download “MySejahtera” mobile application and complete details; and
- Undergo a compulsory 14 days home quarantine
