Tourism Malaysia (Ho Chi Minh City) participated in the Vietnam International Travel Mart 2019 (VITM 2019) which took place from March 27 to April 1 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Palace. During the one-week exhibition, there were several attractive preferential tour packages offered to tourists travelling to Malaysia. At the same time, Malaysian culture was also displayed through the traditional dance performances by the Kuala Lumpur City Council of Art and Culture, demonstration of the wrapping of nasi lemak in banana leaf and the making of 3-layered tea by Malaysian chef. Some of the PERWAKILAN Hanoi ladies participated in the demonstration of the making of Bunga Rampai.
On 28 March 2019, HE Dato' Mohd Zamruni Khalid attended the exhibition and officiated the Malaysian Pavillion. The VITM 2019 is the largest of its kind, attracting 720 businesses and tourism promotion agencies from 27 countries and territories worldwide, as well as 47 Vietnamese cities and provinces. Themed “Green Tourism”, the VITM 2019 afforded domestic and foreign travel agencies a chance to discuss future business opportunities and introduce new destinations and tourism-related products to the public.
