The Consuls General of Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia, and the Honorary Consul of the Philippines participated in an informal dialogue with the Foreign Minister of Canada Mr. Stephane Dion on 7 September 2016. They discussed ASEAN-Canada relations as well as other issues of mutual concern. ASEAN-Canada formal relations began almost 40 years ago in 1977.
