FIRST BILATERAL CONSULTATIONS BETWEEN MALAYSIA AND SOUTH AFRICA, 19 JULY 2017 South Africa hosted Malaysian delegation in Pretoria for the First Bilateral Consultations of the senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of both countries at the Department of Foreign Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) on Wednesday, 19 July 2017. Malaysian delegation was led by YM Ambassador Raja Nusyirwan Zainal Abidin, Deputy Secretary General for Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia. The South African delegation was led by His Excellency Prof. Dr. Anil Sooklal, Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO). The inaugural meeting was officiated by His Excellency Mr. Kgabo Mahoai, Director General of the Department of Foreign Relations and Cooperation. The discussion amongst others include issues on education, technical cooperation on food safety and quality, technical cooperation on pharmaceutical, cooperation on sports, culture, tourism and consular as well as immigration matters. Both sides also exchanged views on various regional and international issues including ASEAN, Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) and the United Nations.
