HATFIELD, Wednesday, 24 December 2014 – Official and staff of the High Commission of Malaysia participated in the Malaysian High Commission (MHC) Marathon 2014. The event began at 9.00 am today and participants has to complete a distance of 3km traversing the Francis Baard Street, Hill Street, Park Street to Hatfield and return to the High Commission through Festival Street and Arcadia Street. Result of the event as follows:
Men’s event:
Champion – Mr. Nik Mohd Hakim Abd Razak
Runner up – Mr. Mohd Yani Daud
Third Place – Colonel Lim Thian Hu
Fourth Place – Mr. Zaharizal Zainol
Fifth Place – Mr. Raphy Md. Radzi
Women’s event:
Champion - Mrs Jamilah Abdul Razak
Runner up – Mrs Ling Ing Cheon
Third Place – Ms Chong Wai Ling
Fourth Place – Ms AlHusna Abd Ghani
Fifth Place – Mrs Wan Mursyidah
The MHC Marathon 2014 was coordinated by Mr. Zaharizal Zainol. Congratulations! All completed the marathon within 25 minutes. The event had attracted the neighborhoods including several Embassies around Hatfield. Interestingly one of the participants who led the first group and took the wrong route but still manage to win third place. Upon arrival at the finishing line, while admitting that he did not study the updated route, he sportingly declared will not lodge any protest against the organizer. Many agreed that the endurance event like this should be regularly organized giving the opportunity for weight loss as well as to stay healthy and slim.
