HARTBEESPOORT, Saturday, 21 March 2015 – The Malaysian High Commission (MHC) Sports and Social Club organized a Braii Day today with the slogan “Kecoh La…MHC” at Schoemansville Oewer Club, Waterfront Street, Brits, Hartbeespoort. Several sports and social activities were arranged for the family members as well as official of the High Commission. The programme and activities were aimed to cultivate closer relation among officers and members of the family.
Aside from the ’pot-luck’ home made food brought by all members, the male members undertook the task in doing the braai (grills) of lamb, beef, chicken, sausages and fish. Some members brought their own fishing rod and join the local anglers to ‘hook’ several freshwater fish from the Hartbeespoort Lake.
It was a successful event and all members acknowledged that the activities undertaken by the club have succeeded in ‘breaking the ice’ and nurture closed relationship among officials and family members.
