H.E. Kennedy Jawan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to the Republic of South Africa , as the Chairman of ASEAN Pretoria Committee for six months from July 2009 to December 2009 hosted the 1st ASEAN Heads of Mission Meeting 2009 at the High Commission of Malaysia in Pretoria. The Meeting was attended by all Heads of ASEAN Mission in Pretoria (Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam).
Discussion focused on the ASEAN - South Africa bilateral issues and programmes for ASEAN Missions. Events for the upcoming programmes are ASEAN Day, ASEAN Bazaar as well as sports and other activities.
