Dato’ Yubazlan Yusof, High Commissioner of Malaysia, convened a strategic session on 16 April 2026 with Tourism Malaysia Dubai representatives namely the Director, Mr. Mohd Faharuddin Hatmin and Deputy Director, Mr. Azhar Musyabri. Also present were Ms. Wan Rahainawaty Ismee Wan Ismail (Assistant Director, International Promotion Division – Asia/Africa), and Ms. Wong Chia Chiann, Minister Counsellor.
The discussion went beyond reflections on the recent World Travel Market (WTM) in Cape Town, diving into forward-looking tourism strategies, emerging opportunities, and the next phase of initiatives to elevate Malaysia’s global tourism appeal.
The engagement reaffirmed a shared commitment to positioning Malaysia as a destination of choice across key markets.
