On 19 September 2023, the Embassy of Malaysia in Abu Dhabi organized the 60th Malaysia Day and 90th Armed Forces Day celebration. The program took place at Dusit Thani Hotel in Abu Dhabi. The event was attended by the UAE ministries officials, the diplomatic corps, defense advisors, Malaysian and UAE business entities, Malaysian Dubai Heads of Agencies, local companies, Malaysian Business Council (MBC) and the Malaysian diasporas.
The program was graced with the attendance of H.E. Mohamed Ahmed Al Bowardi, Minister of States for Defense Affairs of UAE. In his speech, H.E. Ambassador explained the history of Malaysia’s independence and the formation of Malaysia. The Ambassador also informed that the relationship of the two countries is getting stronger in every aspect, due to several factors including the close relationship between His Majesty The King of Malaysia and His Highness the President of UAE.
The event has successfully fostered connections and networking, while strengthening the relationships among the guests. It has also encouraged interaction among the guess that can contribute to the expansion of Malaysia’s presence in the UAE.
