On 29 January 2025, H.E. Tengku Dato’ Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin, Ambassador of Malaysia to the UAE attended the Asia Health Industry Dialogue and Networking Event, held on the sidelines of the “Arab Health” at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
In the opening remarks, His Excellency encouraged the participation of stakeholders from both the public and private sectors in the UAE to the International Healthcare Week (IHW) scheduled to take place from 16-18 July 2025 in Kuala Lumpur.
Ambassador highlighted that Malaysia stands out with its robust public and private healthcare systems, which earned her international recognition for affordability and high quality of care. Malaysia’s focus on medical tourism has further elevated its reputation globally, whereby two Malaysian hospitals were rated among the best in the world.
His Excellency further stated that the hosting of IHW is timely and significant as Malaysia holds the ASEAN Chairmanship this year. It also underscores the nation’s dedication to advancing healthcare trade.
