On 17 October 2023, HE Major General Saeed Rashid Ali Al Shehi, UAE Land Force Commander, and Colonel Mohamad Nizam Abdul Manap, Defense Advisor of the Embassy of Malaysia in Abu Dhabi were conferred with awards by His Majesty The King of Malaysia at the National Palace of Malaysia. HE Major General Saeed Rashid Ali Al Shehi was conferred with the Honorary Malaysian Armed Forces Order for Valor (First Degree) - Gallant Commander of the Malaysian Armed Forces while Colonel Mohamad Nizam with the Honorary Malaysian Armed Forces Order for Valor (Third Degree). The awards were conferred in recognition of their services and contribution to the strengthening of the defense ties between the two countries.
