The closing ceremony of Desert Tiger Exercise was held at the FIBUA (Fighting in Build Up Area) City, Al Hamra Camp on 27 February 2023. The camp is situated in the Western Region, 260 km from Abu Dhabi city.Two private aircrafts were arranged by the host country for the Malaysian delegation to Al Hamra Camp. His Majesty was personally invited to join HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s special flight for the closing ceremony.
The Desert Tiger Military Exercise was inaugurated back in 2014 and this year marked the 6th edition of the exercise. Under the full sponsorship of the UAE Government, the 3-week training began on 8 to 27 February 2023 which was participated by 14 officers and 116 personnel from the 9th Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (PARA) as well as five officers and 120 personnel from the 61st Battalion UAE Land Forces.
