On 5 February 2025, H.E. Tengku Dato’ Sirajuzzaman Tengku Mohamed Ariffin, Ambassador of Malaysia to the UAE received a courtesy call from YBhg. Datuk Zurinah Pawanteh, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Malaysian Kuwaiti Investment Co. Sdn. Bhd (MKIC) .
The Ambassador was briefed on MKIC in general, its objectives as well as key sectors and projects. Both Ambassador and MKIC Chairman of the Board of Directors discussed and explored on opportunities to attract possible investors from the UAE, with a particular focus on the commodities sector, into Malaysia.
