H.M. Queen Azizah had an audience with H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood at Expo City in Dubai on 30 November 2023. H.H. Sheikha Fatima is also the mother of H.H. President of UAE. During the audience, discussions touched on the friendly relations and cooperation between the UAE and Malaysia, especially regarding social and humanitarian initiatives related to childhood and enhancing women’s roles in developing their societies.
H.M. Queen Azizah also conferred upon H.H. Sheikha Fatima, The Most Esteemed Royal Family Order of Pahang (DK Pahang), in appreciation of her role in supporting social affairs and humanitarian work and her initiatives to advance and empower women in societies. Additionally, H.M. Queen Azizah conferred The Most Esteemed Royal Family Order of Pahang (DK Pahang) to H.H. Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Consort to the President of the UAE, in recognition of her contributions to social, intellectual, and cultural sectors, and for her support for initiatives aimed at achieving community development.
