On 28 January 2016, the Ambassador of Malaysia received a courtesy call by Afiq Safarov, Director of Public Relations and Business Development Support Department, Azersun Holding. Azersun Holding is a local company and started its activity in Azerbaijan in 1991 and turned into a leading company in the foodstuff, agriculture, packaging and paper industry, as well as in the retail trade market. Azersun Holding has been importing palm oil from Malaysia at a capacity of 40 thousand tonnes a year.
The Ambassador welcomed Mr Afiq to the office and discussed on the means and ways to increase Malaysian products to the Azerbaijan and regional market.
