On 14 January 2016, the Ambassador of Malaysia received a courtesy call by Mr. Ramesh Singh, the Security Adviser of the United Nations Department of Safety and Security, Azerbaijan and Czech Republic. Mr Ramesh Singh arrived in Baku on 12 November 2015 to assume his duty as the Security Adviser. The Ambassador welcomed Mr Ramesh to Azerbaijan and also discussed on issues of common interest.
