On 5 March 2024, Ambassador Ahmad Kamrizamil Mohd Riza had the pleasure to call on HE Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Foreign Minister (Asia). It was an extensive and fruitful discussion covering areas of opportunities and pending issues, e.g. visa-free for Malaysians, joint political consultations, the establishment of the Malaysia-Azerbajian Business Council and possible high-level visits.
We are awed by the extensive knowledge of HE Elnur Mammadov about Malaysia. HE Elnur Mammadov also shared his experience visiting Malaysia in July 2022 for the first Joint Political Consultation between Malaysia and Azerbaijan.
We gifted the Wau as a symbol of friendship, and the symbolism of Wau in Malaysian culture was also explained.
