On 15 April 2022. H.E. Dato’ Yubazlan Yusof, Ambassador of Malaysia to Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied Malaysian delegation led by YBhg. Dato' Mohd Nazifuddin Mohd Najib, Secretary General of Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) in a courtesy call on H.E Farid Gayibov, Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Deputy Minister, H.E. Mariana Toteva Vasileva.
YBhg. Dato' Seri Tan Gin Soon, President of Malaysian Gymnastics Federation (MGF), Ms Afrita Ariany Nasril, Secretary General of MGF, Mr Namik Novruzov, Head of International Relations Department, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Republic of Azerbaijan as well as Counsellor, Embassy of Malaysia were also present at the meeting.
The sides discussed future bilateral cooperation and collaboration, exchange of views on expertise, experience and challenges in the sports field as well as the upcoming sporting events involving both countries.
