At the invitation of the co-organizer of the event, Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan State Tourism Agency, Malaysia has participated in the “Shusha International Culinary Festival” from 5-8 May 2022.
The event brought together culinary specialists and expert cooks from Azerbaijan as well as other 10 selected countries to demonstrate their cuisines.
Malaysia was represented by a professional chef and culinary specialist, Mr Kelvin Chong who owned the Culinary Arts Center of Azerbaijan (CÀSÀ), an accredited tertiary education Institution that offers the international standards and professional qualification for culinary education.
During the four-day event, the guests had an opportunity to have a taste of authentic Malaysian dishes which was prepared with the use of local Malaysian herbs and spices such as nyonya achar, curry puff, chicken satay with peanut sauce, ayam goreng berempah, lamb rendang and nasi lemak.
