On 27 February 2022, H.E. Dato' Yubazlan Yusof, Ambassador of Malaysia to Azerbaijan undertook a working visit to Lankaran State Agriculture Development Institute in Lankaran City, Azerbaijan.
During the visit, H.E. Ambassador attended the meeting with the Directors of Lankaran, Masalli and Astara State Agriculture Development Institutes. The meeting was also attended by Malaysian delegation headed by the General Director of Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).
Among topics discussed were the problems in rice farming, issues that the farmers are facing while growing rice, difficulty in adaptation of the seeds to the soil of Lankaran as well as the proposed idea of creating expert groups with the aim of improving cultivation techniques. The meeting is wrapped up with the tour in the rice mills.
