On 23 January 2014, H.E. Ambassador received a delegation from Institute Des Hautes de Defense / Institute of Advanced Studies Defence National (IEHDN) based in France. The delegation was led by the Director of the IHEDN, Lieutenant General Jean Marc Duquesne with member of the delegation comprised of member of the French Parliament, a senior navy officer, and administrator of the French National Assembly.
The delegates exchanged their views with H.E. Ambassador on various defense and Asian issues including the role of the Asian powers in Southeast Asia and ASEAN defense collective structure. The one and half hour session was part of the delegates' preparation for their study on ASEAN countries.
