APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT

 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia wishes to inform that application of Certificate of Good Conduct (CGC) MUST be done online and the process will take approximately 30 to 90 working days to complete.

 

Pre-Condition for foreigner applicants: 

Foreigners who wish to apply for CGC, MUST have resided in Malaysia for duration of AT LEAST SIX MONTHS (6) CONSECUTIVE MONTHS under a long-term social pass (i.e: employment pass, student pass, spousal pass (spouse of Malaysian), or expatriate)

 

  1. Log on to the E-Consular service at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia website available at the following link: https://ekonsular.kln.gov.my/login. Steps for CGC application (click HERE).
  2. Complete the online form and click SUBMIT.
  3. Print Application Acknowledgement Slip.
  4. Check application status from time to time using the same ID and password used in Step 1.
  5. For SUCCESSFUL application(s): Processing of approved certificate takes five (3-5) business days, once the mandatory documents below are received at the office.

 

  1. For CGC collection at the counter of Consulate General of Malaysia in Vancouver.

 

  1. Collection Slip for Certificate of Good Conduct
  2. Approval status (certificate of good conduct is ready for collection)
  3. Original passport and a photocopy of the biodata page
  4. Letter of Authorization for collection by proxy (if applicable)
  5. Fee: CAD 20.00 cash only (exact change)

 

  1. For CGC collection via post. Please email us at mwvancouver@kln.gov.my in advance BEFORE mailing documents to our office, with full name, current address, phone number and email address. Mails from unknown sender will be refused. 

 

  1. Collection Slip for Certificate of Good Conduct
  2. Approval status (certificate of good conduct is ready for collection if applicable)
  3. A photocopy of passport – biodata page only
  4. Fee: CAD 20.00 (Bank Draft/Postal Money Order payable to: “Consulate General of Malaysia”)
  5. A pre-paid A4 size self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage.
