The Consulate General of Malaysia and Tourism Malaysia, Vancouver took part in the Asian Study Day programme organised by Langara College on 26 January 2010. All nine Asian Consulates General and Taiwan Trade and Economic Office in Vancouver took part in the one day eevent. The aim of the event was to introduce Canadian students to the various aspects of the Asian countries including their people and cultures.
The Consul General of Malaysia in Vancouver, Mr. Mohd Hassan Bal was given the honor to give his opening speech on behalf of the Asian Consuls General. In his speech, he talked about the diversity of Asian culture and the many potentials offered by Asia in terms of trade and investment to the people of British Columbia.
The Malaysia booth presented comprehensive information about Malaysia including on tourism, education, trade and investment as well as media and current issues.
