On 17 March 2018, Consul General attended Malaysia Singapore Night (MSN) 2018 at University of British Columbia (UBC), Vancouver. The MSN is held annually by the Seri Malaysia Club and Singapore Students’ Association to showcase their respective countries’ food and culture with UBC students, staff and Vancouver community. Both club and association serve as a support group for students who are away from home.
The students had prepared famous delicacies such as nasi lemak, sambal chicken, mee goreng, sago gula melaka, kuih talam and air bandung. Many of the students who attended the event were dressed in traditional clothing as part of the festivities.
The Consul General delivered a short speech thanking the students for their efforts in organising the event and promoting Malaysia and Singapore.
