On 28 April 2026, Mrs. Norfarina Mohd Azmee, Deputy Chief of Mission (DCM) of the Embassy of Malaysia, attended the Sub-Forum on China-ASEAN Digital Transformation Cooperation and delivered a keynote address on Malaysia’s National Policy on Digital Transformation. The sub-forum was convened under the overarching theme: "China-ASEAN Digital Connectivity and Cooperation: A New Future for Digital Development” and was held during the 9th Digital China Summit.
The Summit, which was hosted by the National Data Administration of China and was organised by the International Cooperation Center of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China with the objective of further deepening digital cooperation and facilitating practical exchanges between the People's Republic of China and the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The sub-forum featured in-depth dialogues on key topics, including regulatory coordination, institutional innovation for cross-border data flows, and the green transition of digital infrastructure. The proceedings comprised opening remarks, keynote speeches, and panel discussions, featuring senior officials, industry representatives, and policy experts from China and ASEAN member states.
