On 9 May 2026, the Embassy of Malaysia joined the annual Diplomatic Football Tournament in Chaoyang, Beijing, a friendly event organised by the embassies of Canada, Germany, and the Netherlands. Among 12 teams, Malaysia participated for the first time, alongside fellow ASEAN members Cambodia and Indonesia.
The tournament brought the diplomatic community together through friendly competition and mutual respect, reinforcing the Embassy's commitment to international cooperation, cultural exchange, and people-to-people diplomacy on and off the field.
