Consul General Mr. Azlimi Zakaria attended the opening ceremony of the 11th China-ASEAN Mining Cooperation Forum and Exhibition (CAMCF) on 20 May 2021 in Nanning. The event was co-hosted by People’s Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and China’s Ministry of Natural Resources, attracting around 400 participants including government officials, diplomats, experts, scholars and company representatives.
Consul General Mr. Azlimi Zakaria also attended a courtesy meeting with the Hon. Huang Shiyong, Vice Governor of Guangxi Government and the Hon. Ling Yueming, Deputy Minister of China’s Ministry of Natural Recourses on 19 May 2021, at Liyuan Resort, Nanning City. The meeting was held for receiving diplomatic corps attending the CAMCF.
On the sideline of the 11th CAMCF, there was a special Mining Promotion for Malaysia on 21 May 2021 in Nanning. It was held in a hybrid mode to promote Malaysia’s mining industry. A cloud signing ceremony was held between Aluminium Corporation of China (CHINALCO) and MCRE Resources Sdn. Bhd. during the promotion.
