On 26 November 2024, Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail hosted a luncheon for heads of ASEAN missions in Nanning and other colleagues, at Nanning Shangri-La Hotel.
It was also a gathering to bid farewell to Mr. Do Nam Trung, the outgoing Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning. He will officially complete his tenure on 30 November 2024.
The Consul General thanked the diplomats for their presence. He spoke warmly of the friendly ties among ASEAN missions in Nanning as well as the close bonds between China and ASEAN. The gathering was not only to enhance the unity and friendship among ASEAN countries, but also to celebrate the future that the ASEAN countries can build together.
At the end of the dinner, the Consul General, together with other ASEAN counterparts, presented a farewell gift to Mr. Do. He assumed duties as the Consul General of Vietnam in Nanning in June 2021.
