On 25 August 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail held a meeting with Mr. Li Jindong, Head of Nanning Station of Immigration Inspection, at the Chancery.
During the meeting, the Consul General was briefed by Mr. Li on the major roles of the Station. He then emphasized that Malaysia is ready to collaborate with the Station in combating immigration-related crimes and facilitating smoother movement of people between both sides that could promote tourism and closer economic cooperation between Malaysia and Guangxi.
Both sides also had productive discussions on enhancing efficiency and service at the immigration check points, in particular at the Nanning Wuxu International Airport during the 22nd CAEXPO and CABIS in mid of September 2025.
