On 16 December 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail held a meeting with Mr. Shi Cheng, General Manager of Guangxi Bagui Seedlings International Trade Co., Ltd. and Ms. Zhang Xiadi, President of Guangxi Agricultural Enterprise Promotion Association, at the Chancery.
The Consul General was briefed by Mr. Shi on the forestry and eucalyptus development in Guangxi. Both sides also discussed the proposed collaboration in eucalyptus plantation between Guangxi and Malaysia.
He was also briefed by Ms. Zhang on the progress of halal certification project in Guangxi. He expressed support for the Association’s efforts to promote Malaysia’s halal certification, which would help local businesses expand their reach into the halal markets, both domestically and internationally.
