On 11 November 2025, the Consul General Mr. Ahmad Phadil Ismail held a meeting with Ms. Cao Kedi, Level II Bureau Rank Official of Guangxi Department of Commerce, at the Chancery.
During the meeting, the Consul General was briefed by Ms. Cao on the program of the upcoming 2026 Guangxi New Silk Road New Year E-commerce Festival & Shopping in China • Guangxi Station, scheduled to be held on 19 December 2025 in Nanning, Guangxi.
The Consul General commended the event for its role in expanding the reach of Malaysian products in the Chinese market. The discussion also highlighted the growing importance of e-commerce in fostering international trade. The event is expected to feature a wide range of premium goods from China, Malaysia and other ASEAN countries.
